Animator

Our Client is currently looking for an Animator to be an animation (Unreal) subject matter expert who will collaborate with other subject matter experts and instructional designers to create engaging, accessible, and inclusive multimedia learning materials. The Animator must have experience in 2D and 3D development, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills.

Compensation and Work Schedule

• Term: 12-month contract with possibility of extension
• Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, day shift hours
• Est. Reg. Hrs/Wk.: 40
• Compensation: Commensurate with experience
• Work location/environment: Hybrid model of work; part-time in Whitby office, part-time WFH

Required Skills and Experience

• 3 years + experience with Unreal engine
• Experience making hyper realistic 3D animations to create short linear videos
• Advanced knowledge of Unreal is required
• Knowledge of Blender or Maya is required
• … Realistic world creation in Unreal (Gaea is an asset)
• Proficiency in multimedia development software such as Captivate, Articulate, and the Adobe Suite is an asset
• Advanced knowledge of videography and photography is an asset
• AR/VR development skills is an asset
• Ability to speak and write French is considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive and lifelike 3D, 2D, or other multimedia elements that enhance user engagement and learning
• Animation Production: Collaborate with the creative team to develop and implement high-quality object animations with realism within the Unreal Engine for various projects
• Pipeline Troubleshooting: Identify and address issues in the animation pipeline, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow for the entire team
• Technical Expertise: Leverage your deep knowledge of Unreal Engine, animation tools, and 3D software to troubleshoot technical challenges and optimize the animation pipeline
• Provide technical support for multimedia projects, including troubleshooting, debugging, and problem resolution
• Attention to detail to create multimedia elements with precision, accuracy, and high quality
