I’m Patrick, the proud founder of Muse Storytelling. We are a tribe of storytellers with a belief stronger than a lens flare: a well-told story can change the world. With 5 National Emmys, 100M+ impressions worldwide, and explorations across 75 countries, we’ve been weaving narratives that resonate.

Now, we’re on the lookout for a spirited filmmaker to join us in crafting educational and riveting YouTube content. This isn’t just about capturing visuals, it’s about encapsulating stories that matter. You’ll get to film incredible stories, then whisk them back to our cozy SE Portland studio, or your comfy home setup, and weave your editing magic.

What’s in your toolkit? A playground of technology—Red cameras, camera robots, a buffet of lighting, and more. Yet, beyond the gear, lies a realm of learning. With us, you’ll dive into a world-class education that’ll morph your thinking, polish your storytelling, and enable you to craft content that’ll empower and change lives.

Based in Portland? Perfect. Your filmmaker journey will have you traveling occasionally, exploring stories beyond the studio. A knack for camera operation and lighting is your ticket in, and though an intermediate understanding is cool, we’re here to arm you with any extra training needed.

In the post-production arena, comfort with Adobe Premiere and Davinci Resolve is your sword and shield. Not a master yet? No worries, if you’re a quick learner, you’ll fit right in. Oh, and a zest to dabble with AI tools or learn them? That’s the cherry on top.

The exact hours and structure of the role is flexible based no your needs and what works best for everybody. The role would start as a contract role for 3-mo to ensure it’s a great long-term fit for everybody. From there, full-time salary with benefits. The weekly hours cn be adjusted based on where you’re at and what fits. We have lots to get done but its more about finding the right person over prescribing specific criteria about the role.
