Role Description:
We’re on the hunt for a creative and talented Freelance Videographer/Sound Engineer, right here in Birmingham. This role, located on-site, is all about making our podcast come to life. As our Freelance Videographer/Sound Engineer, you’ll spend one glorious day per month capturing all the podcast magic. Your responsibilities include:
- Filming and editing video and audio recordings
- Setting up and operating cutting-edge audio and video equipment
- Crafting captivating sound effects, music, and dialogue tracks
- Performing post-production tasks like color correction and audio mixing
Qualifications:
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Experience is Key: You should have a solid background in videography and audio production. We need someone who knows the ins and outs of creating engaging content.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer is essential. When it comes to audio, your familiarity with software such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live will be your secret sauce.
- Equipment Whiz: You should be acquainted with cameras, lighting equipment, and sound recording gadgets. The more you know, the better!
- Creative Vision: An excellent understanding of composition, lighting, and sound design will set you apart. We want you to make our podcast visuals and audio shine.
- Project Pro: You’re the captain of the ship, so you need to demonstrate your ability to manage video projects from start to finish.
- Team Player: While you’ll often work independently, you should also play well with others. Collaborating with clients and team members is all part of the game.
- Organised and Time-Savvy: You’ve got strong organisation and time-management skills. Meeting deadlines is your thing.
- Education is a Bonus: While it’s not mandatory, a bachelor’s degree in Film, Communications, or a related field would be the cherry on top.
