Overview

The drug discovery and development process is long and expensive with many setbacks. At Certara, we anticipate and address critical drug discovery development risks and decisions using biosimulation, technology, and services. Founded in 2001 as a spin-out company from the University of Sheffield, the Simcyp™ division was acquired by Certara in 2012. Simcyp has experienced dynamic growth and we now have an expanding workforce of over 200 people including scientists, software developers, and support staff. The Simcyp division maintains strong academic links, and our team conducts internationally recognized, cutting-edge research and development. Being a part of Certara’s in-house expertise we can provide scientific, software development, bespoke consultancy services, and education programs around the world for model-based drug development. Junior Web Developer - 1 Year Placement

Salary: £competitive + benefits + attractive holiday allowance

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week (9am - 5pm), Hybrid working, based from our City Centre Sheffield Office.

Responsibilities

  • Work within an Agile team of web developers to create web applications and services following our company guidelines.
  • Work under the supervision of the senior developers within the web development team.
  • Be involved in all stages of a project, from brainstorming, application design to final testing.
  • Develop web applications in Microsoft Visual Studio in C# using the latest Microsoft web technology stack hosted within Microsoft Azure Cloud Services.

Qualifications

Necessary:

  • Good time keeping and problem-solving skills.
  • Be enrolled on an appropriate undergraduate course.
  • Skills and experience of:
  • ASP.NET Core (C#) using MVC or Razor pages.
  • Microsoft Entity Framework.
  • Client-side libraries (JQuery).
  • Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • HTML/CSS template (Bootstrap).

Desirable:

  • Experience working with Microsoft DevOps.
  • Experience of working in an Agile team.
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services.
