This role sits within the fantastic Qdos marketing team, where you will managing a passionate Marketing Executive and Graphic Designer, who embody our brand and live our values. Job Purpose:

To manage and lead the Qdos marketing function, developing and delivering a strategic marketing plan inclusive of both E-Commerce and Commercial channels to meet business goals. To maintain and develop the Qdos brand, internally and in all external markets, working closely with the board and key stakeholders on any ongoing and new strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and fulfil marketing strategy in line with business objectives
  • Act as the gatekeeper for the Qdos brand, including its evolution, maintenance and raising brand awareness across all key markets
  • Oversee Qdos’ messaging and content, including website content, literature, client communications and social media
  • Plan, create and oversee campaigns across variety of media
  • Plan, create and manage all paid search campaigns and other advertising channels
  • Keep up to date on key market trends and changes in relevant legislation
  • Keep up to date on relevant E-Commerce and digital strategy trends and technology changes, i.e. Google algorithms, buying behavior studies
  • Oversee relevant competitor, customer, and general market research where relevant
  • Oversee the end to end E-Commerce customer experience
  • Seek out, contribute to, and support new business opportunities through product development, product evolution and associated launch campaigns
  • Work closely with all key stakeholders in the design, launch and fulfillment of e-commerce and commercial products
  • Measure and report on all marketing activity key performance metrics and ROI via appropriate tools
  • Manage and maintain marketing budget including suppliers, advertising, events etc.
  • Utilise and manage relationships with outsourced resources to assist in the delivery of the marketing strategy
  • Work closely with the external PR agency to deliver on brand communication
  • Work closely with all internal departments to ensure the brand is being maintained across all business activities
  • Lead and develop the marketing team in line with business needs and individual development requirements and aims

Performance Objectives:

Within three months we would expect the following to be achieved:

  • Full ownership and maintenance of current BAU activities
  • Design of 2024/2025 Strategic Marketing Plan
  • Planning and commencement of tactical activities for the first quarter of Strategic Marketing Plan period

Skills and Experience Specification:

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years Marketing Manager experience
  • Demonstrable experience in both digital and creative marketing
  • Proven experience is designing and delivering strategic marketing plans
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering impactful campaigns across a variety of channels
  • Proven experience managing search campaigns, including organic SEO and paid search
  • Experience in developing and managing a social media strategy
  • Experience in developing and managing a content strategy
  • Experience in managing an e-commerce website
  • Experience in brand management
  • Strong project management skills
  • Extensive knowledge of analytical tools, including Google Analytics and Google Adwords
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in managing a multi-faceted team

Desirable:

  • Experience operating within the contractor/freelancer support sectors
  • Knowledge of tax legislations affecting self-employed workers, i.e. IR35
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance products and the insurance market in general
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent CIM qualification
  • Experience in using Sitecore CMS
  • Experience in using Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud suite
  • Experience in planning and supporting events - webinars, seminars or podcasts
