Design Engineer - Contract role

ÂŁ35 per hour + Based on experience

About the Company

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join our clients’ Engineering team within the Waste Water industry. You will be responsible for producing general arrangements, detailed designs, and manufacturing drawings for multiple contracts. Experience in the use of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD is a must. This role is a 6-month contract to start with, offering ongoing work afterwards as projects continue.

Job Duties and Skills

  • A comprehensive knowledge of engineering design principles
  • Ability to work from site surveys and existing client drawings to produce 3D layouts in Inventor and detailed component drawings as required
  • Preparation of 2D manufacturing drawings from 3D models for both standard items and bespoke fabrications
  • Report problems and deficiencies in the design
  • Maintain drawing files and records throughout the duration of contracts using Autodesk Vault

Requirements

  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD
  • Knowledge related to the design of waste water screens would be beneficial
  • Appropriate training
