WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• We are looking for that special person who is both technical with the backend and artistic for the front end of our website.
• Someone who is exceptional in graphic design and who can help build out / redesign our website, help us with our social media effort, and be a graphic design artist for our advertising.
• Can you put together compelling ads for jewelry marketing in upscale publications?
• Can you write interesting tag lines and descriptions about our pieces as you have an aptitude with words?
• Are you savvy when it comes to social media?

QUALIFICATIONS

• We are looking for that highly gifted person who has a way with words and graphics that compel the reader to stop and take action.
• Someone who can show us that they have built out other websites with successful results and who understands marketing to the high-end segment of society.
• You should have abilities with the latest technologies, experience in luxury brand marketing, compelling experience in website development, know-how with e-commerce, absolutely must be a pro in graphic design using Photoshop and other programs such as Illustrator, In Design, etc.
• You should also know how to sell on AMAZON and other online sales platforms.
• Lastly, should you have video or Photography skills, this will enhance your candidacy.

WE ARE a high-end international luxury jeweler with 60 year history in manufacturing and retailing fine jewelry

• The position can be part time (4 days per week), or contract depending on what your credentials are - please apply in confidence.

Duties

• Design visually appealing and user-friendly websites using WP, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
• Collaborate with owner to gather and understand project requirements
• Conduct user research and incorporate findings into the design process
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to effectively communicate design ideas
• Ensure web accessibility standards are met for all designs
• Implement responsive web design principles to optimize websites for various devices
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in web design
• Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless integration of design elements

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Web Designer or similar role
• Proficient in WP, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web design tools and technologies
• Strong understanding of UI principles and best practices
• Familiarity with web accessibility standards and guidelines
• Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing
• Knowledge of responsive web design techniques
• Experience with frameworks such as Angular or Telerik is a plus
• Familiarity with Less or other CSS preprocessors is a plus

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
