Our client is a thriving gift and beauty brand renowned for delivering imaginative and trend-setting products to prominent retailers worldwide. They are on the lookout for a skilled and seasoned Product and Packaging Designer to join their friendly creative team on a 1 year fixed term basis!

In this multifaceted role, you’ll engage in various responsibilities, encompassing the creation of product and packaging concepts, designs, artwork, cutter guides, and close collaboration with the brand’s Product Development team to stay abreast of trends and product research.

While prior experience with gifting, beauty, hardlines, and plush products is advantageous, what matters most is your proficiency as a versatile designer. A robust portfolio, adept artworking skills, and advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite are essential.

Responsibilities for this Product and Packaging Designer role:

• Designing and developing concepts for new products in line with client briefs
• Producing artwork for products and packaging, including creating cutter guides
• Working closely with the products team on producing mock ups and samples for sign off as required
• Being market and trend aware, researching competitors and ensuring designs are commercial and in line with market trend
• Prepare seasonal trend reports, undertaking comp shops
• Prepare Brand & Marketing Materials including presentations, catalogues, trade show graphics, web banners & social media content

Requirements:

• Proficient in Adobe Creative suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and Dimension.
• Skilled in creating cutter guides
• Extensive experience in packaging design, including the incorporation of back-of-pack information, hazard warnings, and barcodes
• Strong layout skills and the ability to create appealing artwork compositions
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in all design work
• Efficient and fast working, delivering high-quality results within given timeframes
• Enthusiastic and passionate about product design, displaying a genuine interest in the field
• Possesses excellent teamwork skills, effectively collaborating with colleagues and suppliers to achieve project goals
• Great multitasking skills, ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously
• A positive outlook and approach
