An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Producer, to assist with the delivery of Bath Spa Productions activity.

Bath Spa Productions enables the school to operate a production house model, providing a critical work-based learning environment for students on vocational training courses within Baths School of Music and Performing Arts.

About the Role

As Assistant Producer, you will play a vital role in coordinating and enhancing the delivery of production projects, notably SparkFest, our annual showcase festival. Your responsibilities will include guiding and supporting undergraduate and postgraduate students, aiding their mentor and supporting students in their creative projects as they engage with these simulated professional work environments.

You will also provide additional support for the BSMPA producer in project planning and execution aligned with academic criteria. From mentoring students in both group and individual settings, your role extends to contributing to syllabus planning, staying updated on industry trends, and implementing marketing strategies across various platforms.

Additionally, your proactive approach to maintaining a safe workspace and offering insights into resource requirements will be invaluable.

About You

Within the role, you will be mentoring and guiding students across diverse art forms, so therefore exceptional communication skills will be key in supporting undergraduates from various backgrounds.

You will be highly collaborative and will thrive in a small team, whilst managing your time effectively with minimal supervision.

You will have demonstrable knowledge of project management and production practice and will be organised, flexible and adaptive with a clear commitment to supporting a student-centred learning environment.

Additional Information

• Part Time - 21 hours per week
• Grade 6 - £32,332 - £36,024, Pro rata of £18,429 - £20,534 per annum.
• Location - Newton Park and Oldfield Park Campuses
