Description

The Scottish Qualifications Authority is Scotland’s national awarding and accreditation body. We are trusted to oversee thousands of qualifications that are available in schools, colleges and workplaces, not just in this country, but around the world. We are looking for a Content Producer to work within the Qualifications Development Directorate in our Assessment Development & Delivery: DAS/ Assessment Materials team to develop, deliver and maintain a portfolio of qualifications and services to support the needs and aspirations of Scotland, its people and its economy. The successful candidate will be required to use content creation software to produce a range of complex and routine e-based and paper based documents that contribute to SQA’s qualification product ensuring they conform to SQA’s design rules, house style and quality & accessibility standards. In order to do this, you must be able to demonstrate experience in the following specific duties:

  • Using appropriate software to produce SQA materials, effectively, accurately and to agreed timescales (Good knowledge and working experience of Adobe Creative Suite eg Premiere, Illustrator)
  • Creating graphics
  • Word processing
  • Proofreading
  • Updating websites using HTML
  • Completing tasks accurately and to timescales
  • Using accessibility checking software
  • Experience in Digital Publishing tools

Additionally, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Collating and tracking information in order to help inform decisions
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders

Applicants, as a minimum, should be educated to SCQF Level 6 (Higher/SVQ 3) and/or be able to demonstrate direct relevant experience for this role.
