Job Description:

The 3D Animation & Game Design (ANGD) Program in the School of Media and Design is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach online courses as part of the Master of Game Development (MGD) program. The lecturer will be responsible for delivering synchronous online instruction to MGD students via Zoom, preparing course outlines, and conducting assessments for assigned courses. They will also collaborate with departmental faculty, adhere to UIW policies and procedures, maintain contact with the department chair, and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements:

The lecturer should have a BFA or BS in Game Design, Game Production, or Animation. They should also have significant experience in the game development industry in the field of animation. Knowledge of game development industry norms and pipelines is necessary, as well as proficiency in at least one industry-standard engine (preferably Unity or Unreal). The lecturer should be able to effectively learn and use instructional technology, deliver instruction online, and work with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. They should also adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Other Information:

This position is not benefits eligible. The lecturer will be paid $5,000 - $7,500 per course, dependent upon enrollment. The work hours will be based on the course assignment, and the physical demands will be typical for faculty in the field.
