Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Motion Graphics Designer to join our dynamic team. As Motion Graphics Designer, you will be responsible for the art direction and design of motion graphics for various creative assets. These include marketing materials for the company website and social media, promotional trailers, content for live action and adult animation television shows, and video games. You have a strong design foundation, excellent motion skills, as well as the versatility to work across multiple platforms and media. You are a resourceful self-starter who works well within a team and can see projects from concept through execution with minimal supervision.

Core Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the creative and marketing team on video style, strategy, and storyboarding.
• Animate, design, and illustrate compelling motion graphics for digital media, and TV audiences.
• Work independently as needed, with reviews at critical points.
• Create final outputs and renders in a variety of formats.
• Find creative solutions for both high and lower budgets and shorter time frames, while still being able to produce high quality, professional content.
• Be agile and willing to revise and improve content on an ongoing basis.
• Communicate effectively with the team in a larger creative process.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Adobe CC, After Effects, Cinema 4D, Illustrator & Photoshop
• Ability to absorb creative direction while bringing unique ideas to the table
• Able to work across multiple projects
• Must have a strong eye for design and visual storytelling
• Passionate about the entertainment industry, especially dramatic and comedic television
• Must have strong creative strategy and critical thinking skills

Additional Information:

Part time opportunity (approximately 20 hours/week)

Role is on-site in Santa Monica, CA

Office is located near downtown Santa Monica – near metro and freeways

The base pay for this position is $50 per hour. Actual compensation is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
