Job Description:

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design. We are looking for a Freelance Videographer with experience creating video content with an Education lens. In this role, you will work with the Canva Creative team to create curriculum-aligned Science, Maths, ELA, and Design/Visual Arts Videos for students in Australia. You will be working on simple and complex conceptual briefs, including simple background videos, studio conceptual videos, authentic classroom environments, subject-related themes, and portraits of children and/or teachers.

Requirements:

• Exceptional understanding of videography fundamentals
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality videos
• Outstanding eye for detail
• Experience directing and access to school-aged children
• Valid Working with Children Check in Australia
• Experience directing small groups of actors
• Access to classroom locations or ability to build sets
• Experience in securing releases for locations and models
• Confident in sourcing education props
• Skilled with post-production software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Blackmagic Da Vinci
• Good command of English and local language
• Own or have full access to videography equipment or rental house
• Ability to commit to at least one shoot every fortnight
• Enjoy collaborating with creatives
• Ability to run production within a timeline
• Passion for producing elevated and authentic content

The mission of the Videos team at Canva is to create high-quality, diverse, and inspiring videography. The team aims to diversify and grow the video library, providing users with authentic and culturally relevant videos for their designs.
