Job Description

Fireproof Games are looking for a skilled 3D Animator with a broad background of bringing different character types to life. The ideal candidate would have a core understanding of animation principles, experience processing motion capture data, a strong working knowledge of Maya and familiarity with Unity animation systems. We’re best known for our critically acclaimed game series The Room, with the most recent game in the series entering the world of Virtual Reality. We’ll be building upon those VR foundations for our next game - an ambitious new title for both PC and console platforms. This position is a six month contract with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate would be on site in our Guildford office for the duration of the contract.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement both in-game behaviours and cinematic content to an exceptional standard.
• Clearly communicate updates and identify potential roadblocks throughout the project.
• Assist with any animation troubleshooting/technical issues.
• Be highly self-motivated and proactive with your time.

Requirements

• Proficiency working with and editing mocap data.
• A thorough knowledge of Autodesk Maya is essential.
• Unity experience preferred.
• Keen eye for animation is a must.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written.

Pluses

• Previous games industry experience.
• Passionate about video games and animation.
