Join a pioneering team in Sydney as a Senior Data Engineer, where you will be at the forefront of enhancing detection and countermeasure strategies in the innovative field of drone technology. Your expertise will be the backbone of their Data Engineering team, providing pivotal support to their Algorithm and AI specialists, driving forward the company’s capabilities to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and oversee sophisticated data processing systems, tailored for embedded device optimization.
• Design, implement, and evolve database structures to align with dynamic business needs.
• Spearhead the automation of processes, refine data flow, and restructure systems to bolster scalability.
• Employ advanced SQL and Python proficiency for intricate data management and pipeline construction.
• Create analytical tools for performance assessment, fostering product enhancement.
• Offer mentorship to budding engineers, guiding them through technical intricacies and career advancement.
• Work alongside diverse teams to pinpoint data requirements and conceive supporting solutions.
• Lead the development of in-house data frameworks that prioritize security, efficacy, and expandability.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 7 years in similar professional environments.
• A background in managing data for embedded systems.
• Mastery in SQL, Python, and modern data pipeline technologies.
• Proven ability in crafting and managing in-house data systems.
• Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Go, C/C++, although not mandatory, will be beneficial.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and the capacity to mentor.
• Experience in DSP or RF telecommunications would be a bonus.
• Interest or experience in drone or RF emitter technologies, while not essential, would be advantageous.
