Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and debugging responsive web and mobile applications for the company. Using JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, GraphQL, and/or micro frontends.
Responsibilities:
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Create innovative, interactive front-end web UI
- Collaborate with business analysts, UX designers, and back-end developers
- Troubleshoot, fix, and evolve existing code
- Work well in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Continuously expand knowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends, and software development best practices and standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Software Architecture preferred; candidates with substantial and relevant industry experience are also eligible
- 6-8+ years of engineering experience, ideally in an enterprise organization
- Expertise with Single Page Web Apps built on React, JavaScript, Node.js, Webpack, and Next.js stack
- Previous experience developing GraphQL APIs
- Experience testing JavaScript applications from Unit to E2E
- Experience with CDNs / caching / security / routing rules / etc.
- Experience with application observability, system-level design, performance
- AWS, CI/CD experience, and familiarity with IaC and Proxy servers
- Ability to learn, understand, and work quickly with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space
- Understanding of web technologies (HTTP, SSL, Headers, Cookies, TCP, Caching)
- Experience with CI/CD principles and best-practices
- Experience and interest in DevOps principles and best-practices
- Experience with technical debt prioritization and roadmap planning with Product Management
- Experience developing solutions for retail or eCommerce businesses and other relevant domains such as manufacturing & logistics, supply chain, or corporate shared services
