Job Description
ApertureAlley is looking for a videographer who can reliably and accurately capture video recordings of legal depositions. The videographer will need to work remotely and in person throughout New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The position requires flexibility to work both in person and remotely. The videographer will be expected to accept jobs up to an hour and a half to 2 hours away, with closer jobs prioritized.
The position is contracted and requires availability from Monday to Friday. Hours can range from 20 to 40 hours per week.
Depositions vary in length, ranging from 2 hours to 8+ hours. The videographer must have a flexible schedule and be prepared to submit availability a week in advance. Expectation is to receive 3 to 5 jobs per week.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- High level proficiency in Computers and MS Office required
- High level proficiency in relevant software packages and applications
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills
- High level of understanding of video production workflow and cameras
- Potential employees will need a car to drive to and from different job assignments
Gear Requirements - Remote
- 2 Computers (preferable PC but mac will work too as OBS is preferred for screen recording)
- 2 monitors for one of your computers
- Fast internet (upload and download)
- UPS Battery backup in case power goes out
- Private Space to work
- Remote Gear can be recommended. Investment can be under $500 if starting from nothing
Gear Requirements - Onsite
- Reliable Transportation (You must own a car)
- Camcorder with XLR Audio and Date Stamp
- Tripod
- Audio Mixer (4 channel XLR mixer)
- Lav Microphones (4 to 5 XLR Lavs)
- XLR Cords
- Backdrop (gray or black is ideal)
- Personal Computer
- Extra Computer / Tablet for Zoom Connections for Hybrid Setup
Compensation for remote work is $25 per hour with a 2-hour minimum. Onsite work pays $30 per hour with a 3-hour minimum. Mileage, tolls, and parking are also compensated.
Payment terms are NET 90, but can be as early as NET 30. Invoices are requested for each job each day.
