Job Description:

This position is an expression of interest and not currently open. Zoic Studios, a Visual Effects company specializing in high-end visual effects for television, film, and advertising, is seeking a 3D Senior Animation Artist. The artist will report to the Animation Supervisor and be responsible for realistic creature, character, and physics-based hard body animation. They will also ensure animation meets production deadlines and quality standards, follow pipeline and studio policies and procedures, stay up-to-date with tools and techniques, share knowledge with team members, and contribute to a positive work environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience animating with an emphasis in MAYA
• Senior level experience animating creatures, characters, quadrupeds, and hard body
• Senior level experience with realistic character performance and facial animation
• Senior level knowledge of real-world physics and anatomy as it pertains to animation
• Past experience within a VFX Pipeline (live action)
• Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Positive attitude and open to constructive feedback
• Experience working in a high-paced environment
• Must showcase an up-to-date reel demonstrating 3D animation ability

Additional Information:

• British Columbia Senior Employees Pay Range: $50 - $65 (depending on qualifications and experience)
• Candidates must be located in British Columbia, Canada
• Remote work from home position with the option of working in the studio
• Relocation costs not covered by Zoic
• Requires a reliable internet connection and working on Pacific Standard Time
