Job Description:

The Web Developer at Hogarth is responsible for building and modifying responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other technologies based on visual briefs. Additionally, they will work on localizing pages and updating links, images, and text to meet client coding standards. The Web Developer should be enthusiastic about technology, possess strong oral and interpersonal skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Using frameworks and automation tools to produce microsites
• Testing work on partner sites
• Validating code using offline tools
• Developing new digital assets
• Modifying existing code
• Ensuring work is performed according to client briefs and requirements
• Meeting tight deadlines
• Producing digital assets in multiple languages
• Updating and amending existing assets
• Maintaining client digital assets using clean, accessible mark-up
• Advising project managers on client digital requests
• Keeping up with latest trends
• Awareness of client’s mobile platform and building solutions accordingly

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years commercial development experience within an agency
• Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
• Fluent in written and oral English
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized
• Expertise in web languages and standard technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Proficient in version control systems (SVN and GIT), repositories, and build tools (Gulp)
• Responsive development experience
• Exposure to Front-End Frameworks (Foundation)
• Proficiency in image manipulation software (Photoshop, InDesign)
• Accessible and SEO-based coding
• Ability to hand-code front-end without using WYSIWYG tools like Dreamweaver
• Clear understanding of Usability
• Proficient in developing to W3C Standards
• Experience with optimization for mobile devices and familiarity with responsive and adaptive methods
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to travel as required
