Job Description

Iconic Arts is a next-gen entertainment studio that develops timeless IP for global audiences and co-produces them across gaming, film/tv, merchandising, and live experiences. This position offers hands-on experience and learning opportunities for emerging Game Developers keen on pursuing a career in the Media, Entertainment, and Gaming industry. The candidate will collaborate closely with the Head of Engineering, Head of Gaming, and Chief Product Officer to develop original gameplay experiences for original IP.

Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of captivating user interfaces within the gaming environment.
  • Drive the development of engaging and seamless gameplay experiences through the implementation of innovative features and mechanics.
  • Contribute significantly to the creation and enhancement of game systems that optimize player interaction and enjoyment.
  • Work on the technical aspects of gameplay, ensuring smooth integration of various gaming elements and functionalities.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to understand and address project requirements related to gameplay mechanics.
  • Participate in testing activities, ensuring the functionality, balance, and quality of gameplay features.
  • Actively engage in team meetings, offering valuable insights and ideas to elevate the overall gameplay experience.
  • Document code and gameplay development processes for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical documentation to facilitate effective communication within the project team.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of programming languages commonly used in game development, such as C++ or C#.
  • Well-versed in Gameplay Mechanics and scripting new mechanics.
  • Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies specific to gameplay engineering.
  • Firm understanding of Game Systems and Game Architecture.
  • Experience with Data Driven Systems.
  • Basic knowledge of version control systems, with a preference for experience with Git.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset in addressing gameplay challenges.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly within a fully remote team.
  • An impressive portfolio showcasing relevant skills and experience.
  • Genuine interest in the Media, Entertainment, and Gaming industry, with a passion for creating exceptional and immersive gameplay experiences.
