Job Description:
- Sports Broadcast Solutions (SBS) is looking for freelance and pro bono videographers for in-person baseball broadcasts in northwest Indiana
- Responsibilities include filming live broadcasts in various formats, such as 720P HD, 1080P HD, and 4K
- Services provided include live score banners, time codes, pregame interviews, play-by-play commentary, live stats, and more
- The role may also involve working as a technical director, slow motion instant replay video editor, or StatCrew digital live statistics technician when there’s no videographer role available
- Entry-level candidates are welcome, and a bachelor’s degree in Video Production, Broadcast Journalism, or a related field is highly recommended
Requirements:
- Ability to respond quickly to mass Blind Carbon Copy emails
- Passion for videography and a focus on “framing the shot”
- Previous experience in videography, particularly in live sports, is highly recommended but not required
- Ability to work in a somewhat stressful environment
- Understanding that this is live broadcasting and the need to film as if there won’t be any editing later
- Enjoys non-professional sports broadcasts, primarily focusing on travel baseball, high school athletics, college athletics, AAU basketball, Pop Warner football, travel hockey, etc.
- Willingness to travel (25% of the time)
Additional Information:
- Freelance positions with the opportunity for remote 100% commission video editing
- Mileage reimbursement for carpooling to Carol Stream and driving to telecasts in northwest Indiana
- Possible provision of a post-game meal if carpooling with the team
- Part-time position with a flexible schedule, requiring weekend availability
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Pay range: $50.00 - $62.00 per hour
