Job Description:

Are you a talented individual with a positive attitude, a passion for creating beautiful living spaces, and a sense of style? Do you possess a keen eye for color, composition, and the ability to transform spaces into works of art? If so, we want you to join our team!

At POP Cats, creativity knows no bounds, and we are in search of Event Decorators who can play a pivotal role in bringing the POP Cats experience to life. This is a unique opportunity to be part of something truly special—a first-of-its-kind cat city for a two-day event.

Location: Union Depot, 214 4th Street East, Saint Paul, MN 55101

Your role:

Collaborate with the team to conceptualize and execute the overall event design. Transform various spaces, from the registration entrance to every corner of the event, into visually stunning and immersive cat-themed environments. Select and arrange decor items, furniture, and accessories to create inviting and aesthetically pleasing settings. Use your exceptional sense of style to ensure all elements align with the POP Cats brand and create a memorable experience for attendees. Pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure every aspect of the event’s decor is flawless.

Communicate proactively and regularly with Event producers on work completion, issues, and offer solutions to overcome.

Core Guidelines:

Represent the POP Cats brand with joy and integrity. Be a team player. Laugh with everyone, but laugh at no one. Follow safety rules and practices. No use of alcohol, marijuana, and/or controlled substances before or while on duty; strictly prohibited.

Shift Schedule: Thursday, February 15th: 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm (Friday, February 16th 11am-5pm Sunday, February 18th 2pm-9pm)

Additional Information:

  • Compensation: Payment will be processed on Tuesday, February 20th, two days after the event concludes. We provide a Panera sandwich lunch daily, bottled waters, and snacks every day.
  • Interview Process: Once selecting resumes, we’ll arrange interviews. These interviews will be conducted virtually via either Zoom or FaceTime.
  • Company Culture: Our company culture is centered around team happiness, sustainable practices, and active community involvement.
  • Job Types: Contract, Temporary
  • Pay: $20.00 per hour
  • Schedule: 8 hour shift, weekends as needed, weekends only
