Job Description

Oak Ridge National Laboratory is seeking a part-time Software Engineer to support the Emerging Cyber Group in the Cyber Resilience and Intelligence Division. The Software Engineer will be responsible for writing software to support research goals, conducting data analysis tasks, and reading academic papers to translate methods into computer code. The Engineer will also promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in the workplace.

Requirements

• Familiarity with Python and C programming languages
• Experience using machine learning libraries and frameworks such as Keras and scikit-learn
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in a computer science-related field
• US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and in collaborative teams
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced research environment and adapt to changing needs

Special Requirements

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain an HSPD-12 PIV badge.
