Job Description

Groovy Gecko is looking to fill several Technical Webcast Producer roles for a new project starting in March 2024. The role involves onsite work in London for a 3-month fixed term contract, with the possibility of extending the contract or becoming permanent. The producer will be responsible for delivering daily online sessions for a Blue-Chip FTSE 100 organization to a multinational audience. The position requires a keen interest and understanding of live online AV streaming, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Requirements

  • 2 years professional live streaming experience in a fast-paced work environment
  • Experience with Teams Live Event, Zoom Webinar, or Webex Webinar
  • Experience with VMix vision mixing or equivalent software
  • Good understanding of live online video streaming
  • Comfortable dealing with clients both on video and on the phone
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English
  • Coachable, willingness to learn new skills and technologies
  • Customer service-oriented attitude
  • Ability to multitask on a live event
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good level of computer literacy - Windows OS, Office Suite (Excel), Google Suite
  • Basic understanding of networking

Responsibilities

  • Stream configuration and testing using MS Teams
  • Client liaison
  • Operation of Webcasting equipment
  • Managing encoders, audio and video feeds, slide synchronization, Q&A moderation, and Polls
  • In-house monitoring of webcast rehearsals and live events
  • Manage webcast events single-handedly to a high standard

Desired Skills (training will be given)

  • Streaming and management of Microsoft Teams Event functions
  • An understanding of streaming protocols SRT, RTMP, and HLS
  • Experience with vision mixing for virtual and hybrid events
  • Use of live interactive/polling software like Vevox or Slido
  • Windows OS troubleshooting and proficiency
  • Good knowledge of networking

Additional Information

  • Salary: Circa £3,000 per month (PAYE) depending on experience
  • Paid holidays, mobile phone subsidies, and company activities are included
