Job Description:

The Marcom LA photography team is seeking an experienced Photography Producer / Editor to guide the development and lead the execution of best-in-class customer-facing photography and fine art communication in support of the business goals. This role requires a deep love for photography and a seasoned production problem-solver. Candidates should have a strong understanding of commercial productions as well as editing, licensing, and postproduction workflows. This role will partner with creative teams during research and ideation, support the strategic goals of brand teams, and lead production through all phases, ensuring the work is produced on strategy, within budget, and to the highest levels of creative excellence. Strong communication skills are required, as is resourcefulness, ingenuity, dependability, and the ability to work calmly under pressure. Not least, you will need to be dedicated to Apple’s high standards of quality.

Requirements:

  • Passion for photography as a medium and knowledge of the industry, from photographers around the world to photo agencies and stock vendors, editorial to commercial resources, always including diverse voices.
  • Hands-on experience in photo production for a multitude of purposes with a variety of delivery formats including print, digital, OOH, and social media.
  • Clear, concise, and professional communication with an emphasis on nurturing partnerships internally and externally.
  • A well-developed and elevated aesthetic, with a curiosity to discover new work to broaden your visual library.
  • Experience with photography and video research, both for licensing and to support concept development.
  • Knowledge and comfort with contracts, fee negotiations, and creative project management.
  • Knowledge of image rights and legal clearance processes for licensed and commissioned content.
  • Meticulous with budget management, digital organization, and ability to follow a clear process, while maintaining flexibility for change.
  • Positive attitude, highly collaborative, hunger to learn, and a willingness to get into the details or jump on a task outside of your usual purview to help the team. A pro-active and positive team player.
  • Comfortable with not having all the answers right away, and confident in the ability to create work under minimal supervision, as well as package and present solutions to wider creative teams.

Additional Requirements:

  • 5+ years relevant photo editing, photo production, or similar industry experience
  • Expert Knowledge of Apple Pages, Numbers, and Keynote as well as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Passionate about the Apple brand and relentless in preserving its authenticity and standards of excellence.
  • Degree in BS/BA Art, Photography, Film, Graphic Design or Visual Communication or equivalent work experience.
