Job Description:

Dashtoon is a seed-funded startup backed by marquee investors and is on a mission to reinvent comics creation and consumption, using generative AI technology. We follow the standard webtoon creation process where we create storyboards from scripts, but we use our in-house generative AI-based tool to help in the colouring process. This helps our artists convert storyboards to final comics in ~1 day. Download the app from the app store or google play and check it out.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

• A passion for audio-visual production, storytelling, and technical skills in both audio engineering and video editing to create compelling content.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work on a variety of project lengths.

Responsibilities:

• Edit and assemble footage to ensure a polished and cohesive final product.
• End-to-end audio post-production including audio editing, audio clean-up, sound design, sound effects, music tracks, mix, and master to ensure high-quality audio experiences.
• Collaborate with the creative team to understand project objectives and transform raw footage into compelling narratives.
• Adapt video content for various platforms.
• Maintain high-quality standards for all video content while managing multiple projects and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including graphic designers and marketing professionals, to ensure seamless integration of video content into larger campaigns.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in audio engineering with a firm understanding of sound recording, editing, mixing, and mastering.
• Expertise in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong understanding of post-production workflows, codecs, image types, resolutions, and frame rates.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical and creative issues.
• Creativity and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Understanding of narrative storytelling and pacing within edits.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the advertising and content marketing industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects using After Effects or similar software is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with colour correction and grading.
• Formal education in audio engineering, film production, or a related field.
• Portfolio or reel demonstrating audio and video work.
• Experience in using AI tools to boost efficiency.
