Job Description:

The nation’s leading cheerleading & dance photography organization is seeking experienced freelance action/performance photographers to join their team. The photographers will be responsible for capturing events throughout the country, with a focus on events in Orlando and Dallas/Ft Worth. Airfare and hotel accommodations will be provided by the organization. The typical weekend schedule includes travel on Friday, event setup, photographing on Saturday and Sunday, teardown on Sunday evening, and returning on Monday. Some events may require photography on Friday or travel on Thursday. Immediate work is available for the right candidates, with training taking place in October and November.

Requirements:

• Photographers must have their own Windows PC laptop (not Mac) and photo equipment, including at least two prosumer camera bodies, a 70-200mm F/2.8 lens, and a monopod.
• Photographers’ cameras must be capable of tethering to a laptop, with elevated prosumer Nikon or Canon cameras preferred. Advanced Sony systems can be used with your own capture software.
• Photographers must be professional in work ethic and appearance, enjoy a team-like atmosphere, and possess proper knowledge of equipment, color temperatures, exposures, fully manual settings, and the ability to achieve proper in-camera cropping.
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems is required.
• Prior professional photography experience, preferably in sports, journalism, or events, is preferred.

Other Information:

• Season of events runs from now until the end of May, with multiple events located throughout the nation each weekend.
