JOB DESCRIPTION

CBS Sacramento is seeking a full-time news photographer/editor to join their team. The role may require working and living in the Stockton-Modesto market. The candidate must have a working knowledge of the XDCAM EX camera and GRASS VALLEY editing systems. Experience with live trucks, bonded cellular packs, and the ability to travel at short notice is necessary. Certified drone pilots are a bonus. The ideal candidate should be a storyteller and a team player.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of television experience covering breaking news, features, and sports.
• Sound journalistic judgment working with a reporter or solo.
• Passion for visual storytelling and natural sound pieces.
• Excellent lighting skills.
• Deadline-oriented.
• Proficient in non-linear editing on all platforms.
• Experience operating microwave, bonded-cellular packs, and/or satellite trucks.
• Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Hiring Salary Range: $54,704.00 - 61,672.00.
