Job Description:
Opencast is seeking a talented engineer with experience in DevOps practices and cloud platform engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for responding to outages, designing and implementing continuous deployment solutions, and ensuring open communication with stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to work on user-centered solutions for clients in government and business.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold active SC Clearance
- Have demonstrable experience in DevOps practices
- Be proficient in designing, building, and testing software release processes
- Have experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Be skilled in creating dashboards and visualizations for application performance
- Use automated testing to detect security issues/vulnerabilities in code
- Have experience operating and maintaining services in public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Be familiar with cloud networking and security concepts
- Understand containerization principles and production environments
- Write clean, organized, and version-controlled code
- Have knowledge of scripting languages for automation tasks
- Prefer using CLI tools over web portals
- Be familiar with SRE ways of working to increase reliability and availability
- Audit services for compliance issues related to FinOps and SecOps
Additional Information:
- This is a full-time, temporary contract role
- The work location is a hybrid remote setup in Newcastle upon Tyne, NE6 2HL
- Interviews will be conducted on Microsoft Teams
- Salary range: £500.00-£550.00 per day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
