Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between creative ideas and the finished product. You will be working closely with us on developing new designs and product lines as well as creating design packs to the highest specification for our manufacturer. You will be involved heavily in the research and development of the best fabrics and trims to use and you will possess your own creative ideas for the brand to ensure we are innovating new products to the highest standard consistently. You will share the same vision for the brand as us, understand our demographic and design collections accordingly.
Role Accountability
- Product Design - be responsible for the design of new products and collections from the first mood board all the way through to the finished product collaborating with other teams.
- Innovation - create and develop original concepts aligned with our brand identity of new products for our menswear collection.
- Hyper flexibility - to be able to identify potential new products that relate to those of existing high sales performance while still driving excitement and innovation to the range.
- Research - translate upcoming themes and trends from our market into new ideas and concepts that could be anything from color palette, patterns, materials and garment styles.
- Co-operation - to be able to work with our various other teams within the business and be aligned to the desired deadlines of the team.
- Attention to detail - create technical packs for our manufacturers to the highest specification with everything from measurements to CAD Mock ups to Referral points on features.
- Manufacturer Liaising - be responsible for communicating with our manufacturer throughout the sample process all the way through to production.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ Experience within product design in menswear fashion.
- An extensive understanding of our brand, our market and our competitors.
- Able to design CAD designs, tech packs and graphics to the highest standard.
- Ability to work in teams.
- Ability to innovate and present your own ideas.
- Track record of success within the field.
