Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr React Developer to join a financial services client in Birmingham for a 6-month ongoing contract. The candidate will be part of the loans engineering group and will work on overhauling the current ledger database and system for loans by rebuilding a new one in the cloud. They will work in an agile and sprint environment, assigned Jira requests and coding in React to visualize data on the back end and connect back-end APIs to the front-end UI that make up the ledger system. The candidate will collaborate with software and data engineers to allow users to update and change data through building the UI. This role requires hands-on coding on a daily basis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with React, Vue, or Angular
• 5+ years of previous experience with JavaScript
• Strong foundation in HTML and CSS
• Familiarity with JavaScript libraries: Axios, Fetch, Lodash, JS array functions
• Experience with TypeScript
• Strong hands-on experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), unit testing, Jest, and/or Vitest
• Experience working in an enterprise environment
• Experience working within an Agile environment, Scrum and Kanban
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or related engineering fields

This is an onsite position in Birmingham, requiring 5 days per week in the office.
