Job Description
This is a short-term 2-3 month contracting role at a leading educational institute in Melbourne, Australia for a Senior Data Engineer/Data Modeller. You will be working with dimensional modeling, data warehousing concepts, and Azure Data Services.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in data modeling and testing
- Knowledge of dimensional modeling, data warehousing concepts
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL querying
- In-depth knowledge of Azure data services like Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage
- Proficiency in SQL Spark, Python, SQL Server
- Understanding of Azure security best practices and compliance requirements
- Experience in designing and developing data models within Azure Cloud and Synapse
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical data models
