Job Description

The AI team at Samsung Research UK is seeking exceptional engineers to join their team in Staines-upon-Thames. The team focuses on implementing cutting-edge research into proof-of-concept and commercial products for Samsung devices and services, with the opportunity to work on next-generation mobile devices.

As a Machine Learning Engineer, the candidate will develop features across the AI stack, be exposed to advanced AI models, propose and prototype new ideas, and collaborate with researchers and engineers on on-device AI technology. The role involves working on system optimizations, embedded software development, and machine learning tools and frameworks.

Requirements

• Masters or higher degree in Computer Science/Engineering
• Professional software development experience with C++ and Python (knowledge of Java/Kotlin is a plus)
• Experience with machine learning frameworks like Tensorflow/Pytorch
• Experience in end-to-end AI pipelines and deploying AI models, with mobile/embedded experience preferred
• Strong fundamentals in computer science and engineering, optimization methods, code profiling, debugging, and software engineering practices
• Excellent communication, teamwork, problem solving, and results-oriented attitude
• Desirable: Extensive experience in Android OS and application development, exposure to commercial/production AI in domains like Speech, NLP, Vision
