Job Description:

This 6-month contract role involves contributing to a defence project focused on developing a next-generation ship visualisation platform using Unity Engine. The Software Developer will also work on various software products, act as a subject matter expert, and support different functions.

What you’ll do:

• Define and develop front-end user interface and back-end systems
• Follow DevOps processes for code development, testing, and deployment
• Maintain knowledge of relevant software tools and languages
• Assist in project planning and system design
• Provide updates to the Project/Product Manager
• Train team members on tools and systems
• Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements

What you bring:

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Experience with Unity Real-Time Development Platform
• Strong communication skills
• Understanding of user interface development
• Ability to work independently and in small teams
• Proficiency in Unity Engine, Visual Studio, and C#
• Knowledge of DevOps tools like Git and Jira
