Job Description

Assist the Advertising and Public Affairs Chief with planning social media strategies and content to communicate U.S. Army Recruiting Command’s (USAREC) communication focus areas, priorities, and missions at the battalion level.

Provide or coordinate social media coverage of major communication events and efforts using the battalion’s official social media platforms.

Work regularly with USAREC’s web content manager and social media marketing representative.

Research new and innovative tools, programs, systems, software, services, and social media industry trends to maintain the battalion’s currency and relevance with social media efforts and strategies.

• Incumbent may have to work an alternate work schedule to include nights and weekends.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.

Specialized experience includes managing social media platforms, creating multimedia content, using analytic techniques, and providing social media coverage for major events.

Education: Master’s degree in Social Media, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing; or equivalent experience.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position.
