Job Description
Fox Morris is seeking an AI Engineer to work with Royal Borough of Kingston Council on a fully remote basis outside of IR35. The role involves leveraging expertise in AI and machine learning, particularly in Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), along with Python proficiency. Responsibilities include integrating data into pre-trained Generative AI models using techniques like RAG and fine-tuning, working with NLP techniques, vector databases, and deploying web applications using cloud technologies.
The ideal candidate should have experience in software/data/machine learning engineering, NLP techniques, model deployment, and working in an Agile environment while demonstrating strong communication, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to lead work autonomously.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or machine learning
- Proficiency in Python
- Knowledge of Generative AI and LLMs
- Experience with technologies like Langchain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI
- Familiarity with NLP techniques, data representations, and vector databases
- Experience in building and deploying web applications using cloud technologies
- Understanding of modern software engineering best practices
- Knowledge of MLOps and LLMOps
- Comfortable working autonomously in an Agile environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Additional Information
This is a temporary 6-month contract with negotiable pay ranging from £397.00 to £500.00 per day. The role requires working Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
