Job Description:

As a Backend Engineer at WITS, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and maintaining robust database systems, contributing to the success of our innovative projects. Your responsibilities will include implementing and enforcing robust database security measures, developing and maintaining SQL queries and stored procedures, creating documentation for maintenance and backups, engaging in software development from design to deployment, and collaborating with other developers for troubleshooting and optimization.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for this position should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in relational database management systems, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, is essential. Strong experience with database backup, mirroring, replication, T-SQL or PL/SQL, and ETL tools automation is required. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are necessary, along with the ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
