Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Frontend or Full-Stack Developer to enhance our Mission Control Software Stack for satellite operations in space. The main task will be developing a modern and responsive web application, predominantly focusing on the Frontend solution using a modern Javascript framework based on our requirements. Your expertise will be crucial in designing and implementing the best solution for our needs.

You may also participate in reviewing the overall architecture and design of the full stack. We encourage challenging prior design decisions to improve outcomes. The Frontend application will communicate with the backend server via HTTP, ensuring encrypted communication, and authenticated user access only.

Requirements

- 5+ years of experience in web application development using React, Vue.JS, or another Javascript framework.

- Proficient in server-pushed messages (SSE, websocket, etc.).

- Familiarity with Figma for wireframes and design adjustments.

- Strong knowledge of Git for version control.

- Capable of independent work with a proactive, clear, and open communication style.

- Skilled in writing readable and well-documented code.

- Comfortable in making engineering trade-offs and decisions.

Additional Information

This role is initially for a 4-month period starting in May, with potential extensions based on progress made. The project involves familiarizing yourself with provided documentation, followed by collaborative working sessions to finalize the scope and design adjustments. The implementation phase will ensue, leading to an MVP for user testing after 2-3 months. Extensions may be discussed based on development progress.
