Job Description

Our customer, a growing company in the Medical Device space, is seeking a PHP Developer for a hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity in their downtown Philadelphia, PA office. The role involves working with PHP web frameworks, front-end technologies, databases, and code versioning tools to develop efficient modules and solve complex problems.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in PHP development.
• Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks (including CodeIgniter) and industry best practices.
• Understanding of front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3) and ability to support front-end development.
• Proficiency in object-oriented PHP programming and writing quality back-end code.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, Linux OS, virtual machines, and REST APIs.
• Ability to create technical/design documents, solve performance problems, and ensure security compliance.
• Experience in working with large applications and contributing to all phases of development lifecycle.

Education/Experience

The ideal candidate should have a BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with business stakeholders at all levels are essential. .Net Development experience is strongly preferred.

Additional Information

• The candidate must be open to providing off-hours production support and should be in the Philadelphia office 1-2 times a week.
• Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary
• Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
