I need a freelance Web Designer who can recommend a user-friendly platform and design a website for my personal blog. The ideal candidate would help me with the initial setup and design, ensuring the site is straightforward for a non-technical person to update and maintain. This is a one-time project with minimal ongoing support required, perfect for someone looking to add a meaningful project to their portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with me to understand my vision and requirements for the blog.
  • Suggest the most suitable platform for easy content management by a non-technical user.
  • Design a simple, clean website that aligns with my mission and makes posting new content easy.
  • Ensure the website has basic features like responsive design, a blog section, and social media links.
  • Provide a short tutorial or guide on how to update the blog and perform basic website maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in web design, particularly with platforms suitable for blogs.
  • Ability to create a user-friendly and visually appealing website.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical aspects in simple terms.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates your ability to design straightforward and effective websites.
  • An interest in cycling and advocacy is appreciated but not necessary.
