Job Description

We are seeking full stack Java Developers for a contract role in the financial/banking sector in Montreal. This position requires 3 days in the office. The successful candidate will work on a multi-year project within bank operations, focusing on designing and developing a new funds transfer pricing solution. Responsibilities include collaborating with business analysts, participating in agile development phases, and contributing to technology group best practices.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of Java development experience.
• Proficiency in Java 11 or later.
• Experience with Java testing libraries (JUnit) and Spring Framework.
• Knowledge of Git, relational databases, and SQL.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization principles.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Python and Java 17.
• Skills in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Nexus, Kibana).
• Knowledge of Cloudera Data Platform tools, HDFS, Hive, Spark, and Drools rules engine or similar.
• Background in financial services.
