Job Description
Live sound mix engineers play a crucial role in controlling a band or performer’s live sound. They meet with the band before performances for sound checks, make adjustments during shows, and ensure performers and audience members have the best sound experience possible.
There are two primary roles: front-of-house engineer, who controls sound for the audience, and monitor mix engineer, who ensures performers hear proper mixes on stage. Both roles are essential for great live sound.
