Job Description:

The Principal ESB/SOA Developer will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle ESB and Confluent Kafka for the DoD Pay program. They will lead the design and development of web services and messaging architectures, participate in Agile SAFe meetings, and provide technical solutions to business challenges.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or Mathematics
• 10-12 years of IT experience with a focus on large-scale ERP systems
• 3+ years of experience with Apache Kafka or Confluent Kafka
• 5+ years of experience with Data Integrations
• 6+ years of strong experience with enterprise service bus technologies like Oracle ESB/SOA/MFT
• Active or Interim DoD Secret clearance
• Must have SAFe Certified Agilist certification within 90 days of start date

Skills Required:

• Fluency with various data models
• Detailed understanding of Oracle ESB integration with PeopleSoft components
• Hands-on experience with setting up and configuring Kafka components
• Experience with messaging and stream processing architectures on Confluent Kafka
• Experience with pipelining, xQuery, xPath, KSQL
• Knowledge of clustering, high availability configurations, and Kafka Security
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle ESB environments
• Collaboration with ETL and DBA teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Ab Initio ETL Platform
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in Agile Product Teams
• Experience as a data modeller or data architect
• Experience with DoDAF Artifacts
• Understanding of DoD Pay and HR systems
• Active DoD Secret Clearance and SAFe Agilist certification
