Job Description

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Senior Android Developer in Chicago, IL. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, 5+ years of experience in Android app development, proficiency in Kotlin and Java languages, and experience with Android SDK and Android Studio. They should also have knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, version control systems like Git, and be familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies. The role involves collaborating in a fast-paced environment, working on mobile app architecture, design patterns, and implementing best practices in Android development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Android app development
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages
• Strong understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and other development tools
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, Git, automated testing, and Unit Testing
• Knowledge of mobile app architecture, design patterns, and best practices
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Understanding of cloud message APIs, push notifications, Android UI design principles, offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with third-party libraries and APIs
• Published one or more applications on Google Play Store
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment tools
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
