Job Description

The Institute of Health Informatics (IHI) at UCL is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join an experienced team of health data scientists, informaticians, statisticians, and clinical epidemiologists. The role involves contributing to the statistical analysis and presentation of results from large-scale national and local health record data. The developer will integrate and add new features to the CogStack NLP platform and assist in deploying CogStack tools to UCLH servers. The position is fixed-term until 31 July 2027, with potential for further funding. The working pattern is full-time and hybrid.

Requirements

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

• Strong programming skills in Python, particularly with RESTful libraries such as Flask and FastAPI.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with MLOps tools such as MLflow.
• Motivation to work on the development and deployment of natural language processing platforms focused on building data and machine learning pipelines.

Additional Information

Closing date for applications is 25-Aug-2024. The salary for this position ranges from £51,474 to £60,521. Candidates may also apply for part-time, flexible, and job-sharing options where possible.
