Job Description

Welcome to Shelley Whitman Associates. We are a start-up advertising, media, and marketing firm based in Philadelphia, PA, and Wilmington, DE, serving the Philadelphia region and the Northeast corridor. We specialize in educational, commercial, and social media productions, including non-profit educational documentaries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for live video filming, green screen work, some video editing, audio recording, and production. We typically operate in small teams of 2-4, so familiarity with all aspects of video production is advantageous.

We are seeking someone to begin slowly, a few hours a week, gradually increasing to 60 hours per month within six months, and approximately 90 hours per month within 12 months if desired. You will attend weekly virtual team meetings and collaborate with other team members on-site for video shoots or participate in staff meetings via Zoom or Google Meet.

Requirements

While ownership of extensive equipment is not required, you should possess the basics: a decent tripod, a good camera, a simple light rig, and a lavaliere microphone. While a Film School Graduate is preferred, it is not essential; experience is valued, and some great filmmakers are self-taught.

Compensation starts at $27-34 per hour, depending on experience, with plenty of opportunities for advancement. We will always endeavor to accommodate your schedule when scheduling film shoots with clients, and we especially seek individuals committed to growing with us.
