Job Description

As a game developer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing game mechanics using Cocos Creator or Cocos2d-x game engines. You will collaborate with game designers to ensure that the mechanics are engaging, intuitive, and fun. Additionally, you will create and implement user interfaces that are visually appealing and easy to use, while optimizing game performance across various platforms such as desktop computers, mobile phones, and tablets. Your role will also involve integrating game logic with backend services using RESTful APIs or WebSocket protocols, testing game functionality to identify and fix bugs, and keeping up-to-date with the latest game development technologies and trends related to Cocos engine. Effective communication with team members and stakeholders, including product managers, game designers, and backend developers, is vital. You should work independently and manage your time effectively to meet project deadlines.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Computer Science or related field

• Minimum 3 years of work experience

• Required skills: Cocos, HTML5, TypeScript/JavaScript, JSON

• Optional skills: Egret Engine, ASP.NET, jQuery

• Proficiency within an editor of your choice

• Experience in consuming and integrating with third-party APIs

• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills

Additional Information

This is a freelance contract-based position for upcoming short-term projects. We are looking for an ideal candidate who is competent in using Cocos Creator or Cocos2d-x game engines. As this is a freelance position, we cannot consider anyone looking for a full-time role. Please take note before applying. The estimated completion duration for projects is 2 to 3 weeks based on expertise. Candidates should be comfortable communicating in both English and Mandarin.
