Job Description

At Light & Wonder, it’s all about the games, and our Gaming team builds cutting-edge technology, products, and content for the most iconic casinos and operators across the globe. The Animator focus specializes in creating animation and visual effects, delivering control and movement to characters, creatures, objects, scenery, and environments using successive physical or digital drawings, models, or other techniques. This role covers electronic games, websites, software products, film, television, and other media.

The Animator will work alongside experienced artists to create game art for all aspects of slot games, including symbol art, backgrounds, display art, and game animations. Responsibilities include producing high-quality art in an iterative process, collaborating with programmers and artists to balance seamless movements and optimized performance on the target platform, and maintaining excellent art quality in character design, color theory, layout, text treatment, and animation ability.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts in art/animation
• 1 – 2 years previous experience as an animator in a production environment
• Excellent drawing and rendering abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Photoshop
• Working knowledge of Illustrator, Animate, After Effects, Studio Max or equivalent 3D platform
