Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Hand code responsive, cross-browser compatible websites without relying on frameworks or templates.
• Maintain current digital products by adding to existing pure JavaScript code base.
• Work on multiple projects in an agile environment.
• Proactively take responsibility for deliverables and meeting deadlines.
• Provide technical recommendations and high-level time estimates for development.
• Maintain communication with users, peers, and upper management.
• Ensure coding standards are followed, and documentation is maintained.
• Stay up-to-date with current coding practices and industry trends.

Competencies:

• 3-5 years of JavaScript experience with consumer-facing projects (e-commerce web applications).
• Demonstrable knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Excellent communication and reading comprehension skills.
• Experience with JSON and REST APIs.
• Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks (React preferred; others include Backbone, Angular, Vue.js).
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator for design file processing.
• Knowledge of email template coding and WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA accessibility compliance is a plus.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and objectivity under stress.
• Experience working with a CMS.
