Job Description

AKQA Senior Frontend Developers participate in the creation of sophisticated digital experiences and must have an advanced understanding of frontend web development. As a Senior Developer at AKQA, you will work with a team of highly skilled people – each with strong opinions about various technologies, frameworks, and approaches to delivery. Please note: This is a 3-6 month freelance contract role. No visa transfers or visa sponsorships will be offered at this time. Candidates for this role must be able to work West Coast hours.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and other web development/production tools.
• Expert in JavaScript with working experience on a team building components in React with Typescript, and Vue.js.
• Ability to independently develop JavaScript prototypes which includes research and proof of concept development.
• Experience with templates and task automation including handlebars, NPM, and Vite.
• Advanced knowledge of responsive web design.
• Experience with translating comps and wireframes into flexible and usable code.
• Experience implementing pixel-perfect designs across a broad range of browsers and devices.
• Experience using version control software (git) in a multi-developer team.
• Experience with Photoshop.
• Experience with developing large customer-facing websites.
• Experience building tools to automate and streamline processes.
• Previous experience with HTML email development is a strong plus.
• 5+ years’ experience working as a front-end developer.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to articulate technical concepts to clients and non-technical colleagues.
• Experience with web application development.
• Thrives when facing new challenges in improving client deliverables.

• A passion for quality, receptive to feedback, and a desire to write code that produces a bug-free user experience.

Job Highlights

Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications: $2,400 - $2,900 per week.
